Brother Lucious McDaniel III is a spring 2018 initiate of the Richardson-Plano (TX) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a concentration in Business from The University of Texas at Austin and went on to earn a Master of Business Administration from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.
McDaniel is a regional vice president for TJ Maxx where he leads a team of 11 district managers and 130 stores in California and Hawaii. He is responsible for executing the strategic vision of the organization, which includes driving profitable sales, growing the customer base, developing talent, and improving operational efficiencies. Throughout his career, McDaniel has developed a reputation for being an inspirational and visionary leader that consistently achieves excellent results by building high performing teams. He continues to mentor leaders throughout the retail industry, and he takes great pride in seeing others achieve their personal and professional goals.
With a career that spans more than 20 years, Brother McDaniel has worked for prestigious companies such as Kroger, H-E-B, and Target before joining TJ Maxx. McDaniel served as the President of the Houston Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Association which he helped to raise over a million pounds of produce for the city of Houston. McDaniel has always had a passion for teaching and coaching kids and has coached youth sports at various YMCA branches for over 15 years. He has also served as a service leader in the youth ministry at One Community Church in Plano.

Brother McDaniel and his wife Vykie have three Children (Lucious IV, Kendall, and Peyton). They enjoy attending football games at the University of Texas and supporting their children in their many academic and sports endeavors.
