Professionally, Brooks works as operations senior at Freddie Mac in Carrollton, Texas, and has more than nine years of professional experience in accounting and finance within corporate America.
Brother Brooks’s role at Freddie Mac has sharpened his skills as he pursues aspirations as a business mogul. He is responsible for ensuring that collateral postings between Freddie Mac and its counterparties is settled proficiently and recorded with accuracy. Also, he validates daily derivative mark‐to‐market positions concerning individual counterparty positions daily using Bloomberg.
Brooks joined Freddie Mac in 2014 as a collateral management professional. Before joining Freddie Mac, he was a senior staff accountant at Trinity Industries in Dallas. Brother Brooks started his corporate career with JPMorgan Chase directly after college in July of 2009 as an operations and business services analyst. After two years as an analyst at JPMorgan, he transitioned into the role of senior fund accountant. In this role, Brooks managed portfolios of sophisticated multi‐currency funds specializing in derivatives, fixed income, equity, MBS, MF, term loans, commingled/hedge funds with over 20 trillion dollars in net assets.
Earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Brother Brooks is currently pursuing his MBA at Texas A&M University-Commerce, where he was inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS).
Brother Brooks loves to attend church at One Community Church in Plano, Texas. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, reading, traveling, mentoring, volunteering, and being a servant leader.
