RPA Spotlight: Meet Brother William Whitehead

Brother William Whitehead was initiated into the Richardson-Plano Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi on March 25, 1999.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Brother Whitehead moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in the mid-80s to attend the University of North Texas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

Since graduating, Brother Whitehead has worked in the accounting profession for over twenty-five years holding positions of increasing responsibility ranging from staff accountant to controller/CFO in the retail sector. His accounting experience spans across small and medium-sized private companies to fortune 500 corporations, including JCPenney, Zale Corporation, FedEx Office & Print Centers, PFSWeb, and Ferrari Apparel Stores USA.

Since becoming a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Brother Whitehead has held the positions of Keeper of Records, Keeper of Exchequer, Vice Polemarch, and Polemarch in 2004 for the Richardson-Plano Alumni Chapter. He is very active in his community and has served as CFO for the Kappa Alpha Psi Federal Credit Union; CFO for Plano Habitat for Humanity; Treasurer for the Southwestern Province of the Pan-Hellenic Council, VP for the Pan-Hellenic Council Dallas Chapter; Volunteer Teacher for Junior Achievement; Treasurer for 100 Black Men Dallas Chapter; and CFO/Treasurer for the Richardson/Plano Guide Right Foundation.

Brother Whitehead is currently Owner/CEO at Whitehead Business Solutions, LLC, which provides accounting solutions and management services, accounting for non-profits, tax preparation services, and business process solutions to individuals and small corporations.


He has resided in West Frisco for nearly 15 years and is married with two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, cooking, and traveling abroad.
